STRUCTURAL CARTOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS OF A THEMATIC ATLAS WORK

The article introduces the Czech historiographical work called Historical Atlas and presents its analysis in terms of concept, structure, technical layout. primary focus is on atlas content subdivision into thematic logical sections or semiological structure used space. Last but not least, cartographic aspects format are also analysed, including, for example, scales projections. findings presented through a series visuals interpreted context concept atlas. authors’ aim to present currently much addressed structural atlas, which allows revealing potential innovation an original work.
